Carrie Cantwell – Lower School Secretary
Ms. Cantwell grew up in Annapolis, Maryland. She went to the University of Arizona on a baton twirling scholarship. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While in school she met her husband, Chris, and they moved to McKinney, TX. In Texas, Ms. Cantwell worked in a variety of roles for Nordstrom including Regional Merchandiser, Department Manager and an Assistant Buyer. After having two beautiful girls she and her husband decided to move closer to family and they love the small town of Erie, CO. Most days you can find Ms. Cantwell driving the girls to dance or chatting with neighbors at the park.
Cathy Hellbaum – Upper School Secretary
Cathy Hellbaum and her husband, Bruce, recently moved to Longmont from Wyoming. Cathy grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota and attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie obtaining a B.S. in Computer Science. She and Bruce married in 1986 and moved to Wheatland where they lived and raised their two daughters for 29 years. Their oldest daughter, Paige (24), currently works for the Wyoming Game and Fish. Their youngest daughter, McKenzie (22), attends Pharmacy School at the University of Wyoming. A new job opportunity for Bruce brought them to Longmont.
Cathy was a stay-at-home mom until her children started grade school. She worked part-time as the Parish Administrator of their church for 11 years and once she and Bruce became “empty nesters”, Cathy began working full-time for the Platte County Clerk of the District Court. Cathy was very involved in their community, church and schools serving as PTO President for many years, helping to get a new middle school built, and starting a 501(c)(3) that emphasized after school programs, summer activities, and team building/anti-bullying programs for youth.
Cathy loves to read, walk, and is a big movie fan. She is very excited to be working in a school setting where she is anticipating a more cheerful atmosphere than the court system! She is looking forward to getting to know the students, teachers and parents at Aspen Ridge.
Denise Collard – School Health Clerk
Ms. Collard was born and raised Colorado native. She graduated high school in Grand Junction Colorado and attended Fort Lewis College in beautiful Durango Colorado where she received a BA in Humanities with a primary concentration in English and secondary concentrations in History and Sociology. Ms. Collard lives in Erie with her husband, Cory, and two boys, Alex and Owen. She loves spending time with her family and friends and feels truly blessed to have such amazing people in her life.
Patti Grubbs – Business Office Assistant
Ms. Grubbs moved to Longmont with her husband, Don, in February of 2015 from Coppell, Texas due to his job with Oracle Corporation. The Rocky Mountains have always been a favorite vacation destination for the Grubbs family, so now they are fortunate enough to live in their favorite vacation spot.
Prior to moving to Colorado, Ms. Grubbs worked as an Operations Manager for a global tax practice with Ernst & Young accounting firm in Dallas, TX. She has a degree in Business Administration from the University of North Texas with a concentration in Human Resource Management/Operational Behavior.
The Grubbs have a daughter, Suzanne, who is married and works for Barnes & Noble in Cedar Hill, TX, and a son, Bryan, who teaches advanced math at R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton-Farmers Branch, TX. They also have four wonderful grandchildren.
Since moving to Colorado, Ms. Grubbs and her husband have spent a lot of time exploring this beautiful state and doing a lot of hiking. Ms. Grubbs also enjoys gardening and cooking.
Mark Ridenour – Business Manager
Mr. Ridenour was born and raised in Tarpon Springs, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Colorado Denver in accounting and will be pursuing his MBA and CPA’s license in the near future. Working with charter schools since 2012, he specializes in business management, finance and HR. Mr. Ridenour has worked for Bart Skidmore, CPA, Inc. as a staff accountant as well as serving as the business manager for Lotus School for Excellence in Aurora, CO.
On the weekends, Mr. Ridenour enjoys exploring the beautiful state of Colorado with his dog, Marley. He fishes, bikes, hikes and camps as much as possible. During the winter he is an avid skier and during the warmer months you will often find him on the tennis court.
