Rebecca Mayo-Cody – School Counselor
Ms. Mayo-Cody has worked with children all her life, as a teacher’s aide, a licensed vocational nurse (LVN/LPN) and a school counselor. Born and raised in San Diego, she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, and her master’s degree in counseling at San Diego State University. Because of her love of travel, it took her a few extra years to complete college, but it was worth it! She speaks fluent Spanish and has visited many countries around the globe.
She and her husband have a son at EHS. When she is not working, she likes to spend active time with her family and friends – mountain biking, skiing, hiking and traveling. She also likes to relax, read, and do creative projects around the house.
Angie Reddy – Preschool Assistant Teacher
My name is Mrs. Reddy, and I am very excited to be joining the Aspen Ridge Preparatory family. I will be the pre-school assistant teacher in the three-year-old classroom, and am looking forward to a year of fun, learning and adventure. I am an experienced Early Education Teacher’s Assistant and recently completed the required courses at Colorado Mountain College. Most importantly, I want the parents to know that while your children are at preschool, they will be cared about, their ideas, thoughts, and actions are valued and each child has their own unique strength and talents that I am eager to see.
Fun facts about me, I am married with two daughters. Our oldest will be a junior at CU and is on the dance team – Go Buffs! Our youngest will be a sophomore at Legacy and is on the Pom team – Go Lightning! We have two dogs, Molly and Ruby (I adore dogs). I also love cross fit and am usually at the gym by 5 a.m!!
I look forward to meeting all the new students and parents in the fall!!
Val Johnson – Preschool Assistant Teacher
Ms. Johnson received her education at American River College in Sacramento and Palomar College in San Diego and graduated with a Certification from Travel University. She spent 5 years traveling and working as a travel agent on the UCSD Campus and the CU Boulder campus before taking a job in marketing. Valerie moved to Colorado 23 years ago, has 2 wonderful teenagers and lives with her husband in Erie, CO. In her spare time Valerie enjoys biking, reading, and does graphic design work for her husband’s IT company. She believes we should inspire curiosity and independence in our children. She loves the SFA Curriculum because it does just that. Through partnerships and play-based curriculum it is designed to foster self esteem, problem solving skills and respect for themselves and others.
Rene Sagisi – Special Education Paraeducator
Ms. Sagisi grew up on the central coast of California and moved to Colorado 8 years ago due to her husband’s job transfer. She has two children, a daughter, Chantel, who is 25 years old and a son, Payton, who is 12 years old and in the 7th grade here at ARPS. They have one dog, a four year old Yorkie mix, named Bentley. She enjoys traveling, going to the movies, going for walks, spending time with her family and learning anything new.
Ms. Sagisi has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from Cal Poly State University. For the past two years, she has worked at another Erie school as a paraeducator, where her primary responsibility was to monitor a child with severe allergies. She is very excited to be a part of the ARPS and looks forward to working with the students and staff of this wonderful school!
Celine Todd – Lunchroom Manager
Originally from Massachusetts, Ms. Todd earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing at Babson College in Wellesley, MA, and her master’s degree in elementary education at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. She and her husband moved to Colorado twelve years ago and are thrilled to be raising their family in this beautiful state. Both of her daughters (Lucy, 4th grade, and Lila, 1st grade) are happy and thriving owls at Aspen Ridge.
For the last decade, Ms. Todd has been a copywriter and editor. She’s now excited to return to the school setting where she can connect with students and be a source of positivity and encouragement in their day. She’s especially excited to join the staff of this school that’s been so close to her family’s heart for the last four years.
Outside of work Ms. Todd enjoys relaxing with her family, connecting with her friends, exploring the great outdoors of Colorado, and traveling back to her beloved East Coast whenever possible.
